I've been listening to the French band Phoenix since my late teen years, and it's safe to say they're my favorite band since. They are one of the very few bands I'm down with most of their albums and songs. My personal favorite album is ITS NEVER BEEN LIKE THAT. I've always loved their indie pop vibe + synthesizer sounds.
Ive patiently waited five years for their latest album, and TI AMO released midnight of 6/8. The first thoughts of the album vibe I would describe as French disco sounds. My top 3 favorite songs on the album:
1. Fior di Latte
2. J-Boy
3. Lovelife
I was also super psyched to see them play at the Hollywood Bowl 6/15. The last time I saw them was the night of my college graduation at the Apollo Theater in NYC. Both great venues and both performances did not disappoint me.
